Data Protection Statement

We are pleased about your visit to our website and your interest in our company. The protection of your data is of the utmost importance to us. With the following notes on data protection, we would like to inform you about the purposes for which and the extent to which we collect or process your personal data when you use our websites and how we protect your privacy when you provide us with your data.

Responsibility

The Möhlenhoff GmbH (Museumstr. 54a, 38229 Salzgitter, telephone: 0 53 41 / 8475-0, fax: 0 53 41 / 8475-999, e-mail kontakt@moehlenhoff.de) is the operator of these web pages and, as the responsible body within the meaning of Art. 4 Para. 7 GDPR, is responsible for compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.

The personal data of our users are stored and processed by us in accordance with the relevant regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG) in their current versions. All personal data is collected only for specified, clear and legitimate purposes and is not kept longer than necessary.

Personal data

Personal data are individual details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person (e. g. name, date of birth and contact data).

Websites

Generally, our websites can be used by you without providing your personal data. However, for certain applications of our websites it may be necessary that you provide us with your data. Therefore, there may be restrictions on the use of our websites if you do not provide us with your data.

When you visit our web pages, our web servers temporarily save each access event in a log file. The following data may be collected and stored until automatic deletion: IP address, date and time of access, transferred data volumes, messages about the success of the retrieval of the web pages, identification data of the browser and operating system used, the web page from which the access takes place and the IP address of your Internet access provider, among other things. These data are processed for the purpose of enabling the use of the web pages, system security, technical administration of the network infrastructure and optimization of the Internet offering. This is to be regarded as a legitimate interest under Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 subpara. f of the GDPR.

Other data collection

We collect, store and process your personal data (e. g. first name, surname, address, e-mail address, telephone number) if a business relationship exists or is to be established, e. g. within the framework of a subscription or an order, as well as in the case of the configuration and modification of the content of the business relationship. In addition, we use your personal data insofar as you have transmitted them to us for registration on our website and have consented to the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, we collect, store and process your personal data when you contact us via the EZR Home Online Portal or by sending an e-mail or by telephone or fax, insofar as this is necessary for the processing of your inquiries and correspondence. The personal data collected by us will be deleted immediately as soon as they are no longer required for this purpose, unless there are legal retention periods. The provision of your personal data is voluntary.

EZR Home Portal

If you wish to use our EZR Home Online Portal (e. g. for the installation of your EZR devices), you must register with your e-mail address, a password of your choice and a user name. For the user name you can use your real name, but also a pseudonym. Using your real name is not obligatory.

We use the double opt-in procedure for registration. Accordingly, during registration you must first give your consent to the processing of data. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Your registration will not be completed until you have previously confirmed your registration via a confirmation e-mail sent for this purpose and by clicking on the link contained therein. If we do not receive this confirmation within 24 hours, your registration will be automatically deleted from our database. When registering, you can only enter the data required for registration (user name, e-mail address, password). These mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk. We use the above data solely for the purpose of establishing connectivity of EZR home devices. The data will not be used for any other purpose. You can revoke your consent at any time using the contact details given above.

After registration, the UNIX timestamp of the last dial-in to the portal is collected in addition to the user name and e-mail address. This is necessary for the traceability of your activity in the EZR Home Portal and thus for the possible necessary deletion of your data. The said date will be processed exclusively for the said purpose. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. If your last login to the portal was more than 2 years ago, all your personal data will be automatically deleted, unless another legal basis legitimizes further processing or other legal regulations to which we are subject prevent deletion. If you actively use the portal, your data will be stored by us in encrypted form for an unlimited period of time, unless you delete your data yourself in the account management.

Your data will be stored encrypted in the database of the application. Therefore, your data is generally not readable in the database. The data is decrypted exclusively for account management (e. g. changing or resetting the password).

In the account management you can change your user name, password and e-mail address at any time. You can also delete your data at any time by yourself. If you have forgotten your password, you can choose the appropriate function on the website. For this, you must enter your e-mail address. After entering the e-mail address, a new password will be sent to this address. We expressly point out that you should change the newly assigned password as soon as possible after requesting it. If you have forgotten your user name, you can also choose a corresponding function on the website. You must enter your e-mail address for this purpose. After entering your e-mail address, your user name will be sent to this address.

In order to guarantee data security and to avoid unauthorized access to your personal data by third parties, the connection is https-encrypted.

Data disclosure

We use your personal data within Möhlenhoff GmbH and our affiliated companies. These companies, as well as our external service providers who carry out data processing on our behalf, are contractually obliged, within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR, to treat personal data in accordance with the applicable regulations. As far as these companies come into contact with your personal data, we have ensured through legal, technical and organizational measures, as well as through regular controls, that these comply with the regulations of the data protection laws.

If you find links from other responsible parties on our website (e. g. Google Maps...) and click on the link, please use the website directly with the respective responsible party, so that our privacy policy does not apply to this website.

In your browser you can independently manage the acceptance of cookies from our websites and block them if necessary. You can also delete cookies already set at any time. You can also find out about the possibility of deactivating cookies in the settings of your selected browser. If you do not accept cookies, this may lead to restrictions in the use of our websites in individual cases. We would like to point out that after deleting your cookies, you may have to reactivate any opt-out cookies that have been set.

We recommend that you delete the cookies and browser history manually on a regular basis.

Data security

In order to protect the data transmitted by you from unauthorized access and misuse by third parties, we have taken extensive technical and organizational operational security measures. These measures meet the high legal requirements of the national regulations and are always adapted to the current state of the art.

Rights of data subjects

As the data subject, you have the following rights towards us pursuant to Art. 15 to 22 GDPR:
• Right to access to information,
• Right to correction or deletion,
• Right to limitation of processing
• Right of opposition to the processing
• Right to data transferability.

If you have given us your consent to the use of personal data, you can revoke this at any time. For this, please write an e-mail to datenschutz@moehlenhoff.de. Alternatively, please let us know your request via mail or fax.

In addition, there is the possibility of complaining to a data protection supervisory authority about our data processing of personal data. The data protection supervisory authority responsible for us is “Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen (The State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony), Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover”.
